MONROE STREET MASSACRE

The Mass was Black
For the trees they did hack.

To object some were afraid
Cause donations were made.

Walk overs led to a Walk-on
In hopes that a star is born.

Not too surprising
That star is rising.

After the credits do roll
Will we finally see the toll!

VERSION AVERSION

Custom fit,
Not always legit
To make a hypocrite.

Seen through jaded eyes
To even the seer surprise.
Blind but from the wise.

What can we do
And follow only true?
Wish I knew.

MISERY LOVES HAPPY

Experiance may be the best teacher
But sadly it's my best feature.

You always learn more when things go bad
So best to be grateful about being sad.

Cause to be happy can be a curse
Since things can only get worse.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT

Soup lines and bread lines
Lifelines of my generation.

Wall Street is not my street
Full of disappointment and defeat.

Collecting the dividends of poverty
To establish my security.

I must confess, I am so
Much richer with less.

THE EVOLUTION OF DEMOCRACY

Started with the strongest of convictions
Yet freedom allows for the presence of restrictions.

Tolerance becomes intolerable.
Surpression begats regression.

Choice is seldom heard
with a silent voice.

Makes it hard to hear
the sound of fear.

LIVING LARGE, ACTING SMALL

Thinking humanity has 

borders is insane.

Yet concerns about 

security remain.

A diffucult balance 

to maintain.

Making morality 

sound profane.

Bullies of the cross
Preaching anger they toss
Demon spirts to invade

To worship false prophets to be they claim
With a message sent from above
But in truth in any religon, "God is love!".

Lungs of black

Down in the hole
Union soul.

Battles won
Victories none.

Willing to sacrifice
For a better life

UNPLANNED ITENERARY

Bushing away fresh
crumbs of day-old bread,
stale reminders of
destint unfulfilled/

Hot coffee washs
away incomplete despair
leaving behind a sense
of meaningful purpose.

Life's mission requires
patience and acceptance
of purpose for
ultimate fullfillment.

NO RESTING

Going nowhere on a mission to somewhere
or so it seems.

Discovered destines are not
always readily revealed.

Paradise is a function
of the journey.

Love in black and white

simply burning bright

lasting throughout the night.

A life full of cheers,

together overcoming fears,

apart only tears.

A romance for the ages,

still life must be lived in stages

but true love will be written on all the pages

on the book of your loves’ life,

a lesson to be learned

to all of those concerned.
